Job purpose A sales role responsible for maintaining and supporting current customer relationships developing new business and increasing sales.
Duties and responsibilities
Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing customers in the food service industry. Calling on customers within the following verticals but not limited to: High traffic restaurant quick service restaurants caterers boutique lodging and wholesale bakeries.
Manages retains and grows sales within the existing customer base.
Applies knowledge of industry trends to match products to the needs of customers to maximize account penetration.
Identifies and locates new customers through a variety of methods including networking and cold calling.
Follows companydefined onboarding processes to ensure successful onboarding of each new customer.
Maintains strong familiarity of all product categories available to be presented and sold to the customer base.
Follows Pipeline review process with consistent communication to ensure meeting of revenue goals.
Prepares and reports results status of accounts and leads to Vice President of Department.
Answers inquiries from customers concerning products their uses and the industry at large.
Provides information quotes and credit terms to customers.
Collaborates with purchasing customer service operations managers and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are delivered correctly.
Attends and participates in monthly sales team meetings.
Easily learns and quickly embraces new concepts processes and products.
Works with office associates to maximize responses to customer needs.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with our Customer Service Associates.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with our Purchasing Department Associates.
Communicates clearly and respectfully with employees at all levels of the organization.
Exhibits professional conduct.
Learns and applies I. Halper business policies and practices.
Follows I. Halper employee handbook policies and guidelines.
The position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with an Account Executive or as may be assigned.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop/laptop computers photocopiers and smartphones.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a fulltime exempt position at approximately forty hours per week. Days and hours of work may vary throughout the week to accommodate business or customer needs. This position may occasionally require longer hours when workload or project deadlines require it. Overtime is not paid for this exempt position. Travel Frequent local travel throughout the New York City metropolitan area and occasional long distance travel is required for this role.
