The primary role of the rehabilitation/therapy technician is to provide support services to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists and/or supervises patients in routine exercises transfers ambulation and ADLs.
- Prepares patients equipment and accessories for treatment programs.
- Transports/assists patients to and from treatment area.
- Communicates (verbally and/or in writing) treatment programs carried out under the direction of the therapist.
- Maintains patient employee and visitor confidentiality.
- Perform pool maintenance including but not limited to checking pool temperature and pH levels and documenting and updating maintenance logs.
- Clean and sanitize treatment areas as needed.
- Clean and sanitize toys and equipment used for treatment routinely.
- Performs final cleaning at end of the day in preparation for next business day.
- Communicates any changes in condition (physical or mental) to the patients therapist and other personnel as appropriate.
- Complete equipment checklists for equipment monitoring and required facility logs for equipment.
- Report unsafe toys or other hazards equipment in disrepair problems in functioning in the clinic to supervisor.
- Stock supplies in all therapy rooms and maintain storage areas and room.
- Perform inventory of clinic supplies and turn in request for additional supplies when low in stock.
- Perform clerical duties under the direction of therapists and/or supervisor.
- Demonstrates welldefined organizational and time management skills.
- Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
- Adheres to the mission vision and values of Reliant Healthcare Group.
- Performs assigned duties related to maintenance of the department.
