Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in the design development and maintenance of thin film deposition processes on assigned projects; creates and reviews design documentation test proceduresBillsofMaterialsandmanufacturingworkinstructionswithassistance from Coating Engineering and Operations personnel.
- Operatesprecisiontestequipmenttomeasureopticalpropertiesofthinfilm coatings.
- Observesandreportstechnicalissuesastheyariseduringcoatingoperationswith assistance from Coating Engineering Quality and Operations personnel.
- Troubleshootsproductqualityandproductionyieldproblemsandparticipatein corrective action teams.
- Supports manufacturing operations to ensure products are delivered on time.
- AssistsOperationspersonnelindevelopingdocumentingandimplementingnew equipment and new process maintenance procedures.
Education & Experience
- CandidateshouldbepursuingaBSinEngineeringorrelateddisciplinepreferablyin Physics Optics Materials Science Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 03yearsworkingexperience;familiaritywithopticsand/orthinfilmcoating technologies and metrology preferred.
- Local candidates preferred
Skills
- Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
- Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet software (MSOffice Suite)
- Stronganalyticalfaultisolationandproblemsolvingskills.DOEandSOE experience strongly desired.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details required.
- Experience with problem analysis and resolution
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results independently or working with others
- Ability to recommend and implement improvements
Working Conditions
- Candidatewillbeinalabenvironmentwithmovingparts/machineryinteractwithsolvents/chemicals and will spend some percentage of the day on their feet
