Job Description
Inspire spiritual curiosity in an outstanding school RE ECT role in Barking!
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic RE ECT to join our outstanding school in Barking. You will inspire students to explore the big questions of life and develop their own spiritual understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and thoughtprovoking RE lessons across Key Stages 34.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations.
- Create a stimulating and reflective learning environment.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods including discussions and debates.
- Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
- Degree in Religious Studies Theology Philosophy or a related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of diverse religious and philosophical perspectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for fostering critical thinking and respect for different viewpoints.
