About the Role
An Independent secondary school in Brent requires a passionate Citizenship Teacher to join their humanities department from September. The role involves delivering engaging citizenship lessons at KS3 and KS4 fostering students understanding of democracy and civic engagement. We are looking for a skilled Citizenship Teacher to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging citizenship lessons at KS3 and KS4.
- Prepare students for examinations and assessments.
- Develop students understanding of democracy and civic engagement.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the citizenship curriculum.
- Organise and lead citizenshiprelated extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Citizenship.
- Proven experience in teaching citizenship at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of political and social systems.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
