Role: Religious Education Teacher

As a Religious Education Teacher you will be responsible for delivering highquality lessons that inspire and engage students in their study of faith. You will support students in developing a wellrounded understanding of Catholicism and other world religions while promoting a compassionate reflective approach to life. Your role will include:

  • Planning preparing and delivering engaging and meaningful Religious Education lessons to students of various age groups (KS3 KS4 and KS5.
  • Encouraging students to apply Religious values and ethical principles in their personal lives.
  • Supporting students in their spiritual development providing guidance and pastoral care when needed.
  • Collaborating with other members of staff to ensure a holistic approach to education that reflects the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Contributing to the development of the Religious Education curriculum.
  • Participating in the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Religious Education.
  • Ensuring the effective delivery of the Religious Education syllabus.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment within the Religious Education department.

Key Qualities We Are Looking For:

  • A strong personal commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church and a desire to support students faith journeys.
  • A recognised teaching qualification in Religious Education or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching Religious Education to secondaryaged students is highly desirable.
  • A passion for developing young people both academically and spiritually.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a supportive and dynamic team.
