Job Description
Our partner a globally operating company and the world market leader in their sector is looking for a Team Lead Data Engineering (m/f/d) to join their team in Hamburg. The company has shifted towards a cloudbased and innovative technology organization fostering a dynamic modern and agile working environment.

As Team Lead Data Engineering you will guide an international team of data engineers shaping the data strategy and ensuring the scalability efficiency and security of the companys data infrastructure.
Tasks
- Lead mentor and develop a team of 10 highly skilled data engineers fostering a collaborative and growthoriented environment
- Define and execute the data engineering strategy ensuring alignment with business goals and technological advancements
- Drive the implementation of scalable data pipelines and architectures ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility
- Act as the key communication bridge between data engineering analytics and business stakeholders to facilitate datadriven decisionmaking
- Ensure best practices in data governance security and quality are maintained across all projects
- Play a crucial role in shaping the future of AIdriven data solutions working closely with the data science team
Key Projects & Challenges:
- AI & Data Integration: Support the development of AIdriven use cases ensuring smooth data integration and availability for machine learning models
- Sensor Data Processing: Work on projects leveraging realtime sensor data to optimize operational processes and enhance decisionmaking
- Cloud Migration & Data Platform Expansion: Continue the transition towards a fully cloudbased data platform improving scalability and performance
Requirements
- Most important: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business needs
- Proven experience in leading technical teams ideally in an international and agile environment
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles including data pipelines cloud platforms and big data processing
- Experience with modern data technologies such as Azure Databricks or similar cloud platforms
- You have fluent English skills
