Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Backend Developer (Redis and Flask) to join our team. As a Backend Engineer you will be responsible for designing developing and optimizing backend services APIs and databases that scale. You will work on performance optimization secure data handling and cloud infrastructure while collaborating with crossfunctional teams.
Responsiblities:
- Build software in the backend from architecture through deployment to the enduser.
- Contribute to existing products and services as well as build new ones.
- Execute endtoend ownership and accountability over the projects you work on.
- Work relatively independently and asynchronously as part of a small USbased product team within a global company across several time zones.
- Contribute to product ideation and feature specification.
- Shape our engineering culture values and processes.
- Collaborate with the product engineering team to develop features resolve issues and drive project completion.
- Work with AIdriven systems and integrate GenAI tools into backend services.
- Assist in optimizing LLMbased applications for performance cost and accuracy.
- Implement GenAIpowered automation for backend workflows and content personalization.
- Support experimentation with AI models including prompt engineering and function calling.
- Come up with ERD with architectural diagrams and visualization methodologies to articulate the solution
- Collaborate with Customer Success team on customer issues and do fast remediation
Specialization & Experience:
- TypeScript Node.js GraphQL SQL TypeORM PostGreSQL Redis ECS/EKS Terraform Python Flask Github Actions Docker AWS/GCP MLOps CI/CD DataDog.
- 8 years with at least 4 years in the above technology stack.
Requirements
- 4 years of handson experience in Node.js TypeORM PostgreSQL (RDS) and GraphQL.
- 2 years of experience working with Neo4j and Qdrant.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js TypeScript and TypeGraphQL.
- Deep understanding of SQL including query optimization indexing and database design.
- Practical experience leveraging Redis for caching and performance optimization.
- Expertise in testing and optimizing GenAI tools like DeepEval Holistic AI etc.
- Handson experience with AWS services including Lambda S3 SQS Step Functions and Datadog for logging and monitoring.
- Proficient in Flask and Pythonbased microservices development.
Strong background in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). - Familiarity with OpenAI Vertex AI Platform Prompt Engineering and Function Calling.
- Solid understanding of Scrum processes and agile methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of secure coding practices and web application security vulnerabilities.
- Experience working in fastpaced global environments.
- Proven ability to ship software as part of small highimpact teams.
- Familiarity with emerging web platform best practices including PWAs service workers network and performance optimization.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting to changing requirements.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks work autonomously and make informed technical tradeoffs.
- A productfirst mindset focused on leveraging technology to drive business growth and innovation.
- Strong communication skills particularly when collaborating with nontechnical stakeholders.
- Passionate about software development and always eager to learn and innovate.
Additional Nice to Haves:
- Experience in any telemetry application like datadog will be a plus.
- Having some exposures to both B2B and B2C applications is a big plus.
- Working knowledge of GitHub Actions AWS ECS AWS RDS.
