About the Role
This position is responsible for setting up and operating Cold Forming Heading equipment to manufacture precision steel aluminum and copper specialty parts. The role involves equipment setup troubleshooting and operation to ensure parts meet specified quality standards and blueprints.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the sequence of operations to produce parts according to part drawings.
- Set up Cold Forming Heading equipment including 1 Die 2 Blow headers based on drawing requirements.
- Operate equipment to produce quality parts in line with print specifications.
- Follow established procedures for process and heading development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures setups and activities using computerbased systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Formal vendor training or certification in Cold Form Heading Equipment setup and operations.
- 25 years of experience in Cold Forming Heading equipment setup and operation.
- Proficient in reading mechanical component and tooling blueprints.
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Proven mechanical aptitude and experience maintaining high accuracy in detailed tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience troubleshooting Cold Forming Heading equipment.
- Familiarity with tight tolerance part production.
- Ability to interact effectively with team members engineers and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to document systems and procedures accurately.
