Job Title: Pharmacy Director
Location: St. Ignace Michigan
Salary: Approximately $155000/year (based on experience)
Shift: Days 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (Flexible scheduling; 80 hours per pay period)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Pharmacy Director to lead its hospital pharmacy operations in beautiful St. Ignace MI. This fulltime leadership role offers a $10000 signon/retention bonus (paid out over 3 years) and the opportunity to oversee all aspects of pharmacy services from compliance and staffing to budgeting and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all pharmacy department functions under the direction of the CNO
- Supervise pharmacy staff including hiring training scheduling and evaluations
- Develop and implement departmental goals policies and procedures
- Ensure full compliance with hospital policies DNV standards and public health regulations
- Oversee drug procurement and inventory through inventory control clerk
- Maintain and update the hospital formulary and ensure safe quality pharmacy services
- Prepare and manage the departments operating and capital budgets
- Direct quality assurance programs and maintain accurate patient records and departmental documentation
- Coordinate all medication deliveries and workflow with the pharmacy operations manager
- Attend and contribute to administrative and interdepartmental meetings
- Provide clinical leadership supporting inpatient areas including IV admixtures and decentralized services
Qualifications:
- Registered Pharmacist (RPh or PharmD) with eligibility for Michigan licensure
- Minimum of 35 years in hospital pharmacy leadership
- Strong knowledge of hospital regulations clinical pharmacy practices and formulary management
- Proven ability to manage teams budgets and operational workflows
- Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills
