Job Description

THE JOB:
As Equipment Detailing you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining company equipment including dump trucks tractor brooms skid steers and asphalt milling machines. Your role is essential in keeping our fleet in top condition ensuring safety and maintaining a professional image on job sites.
WHAT YOULL DO:
- Wash and clean dump trucks tractor brooms skid steers and asphalt milling machines.
- Remove dirt debris asphalt and grease from equipment using pressure washers detergents and hand tools.
- Inspect equipment for cleanliness and report any damage or maintenance needs to your supervisor.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Properly dispose of waste materials following company and environmental regulations.
- Assist the maintenance team with minor tasks when necessary.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- Prior experience in equipment cleaning or a similar role is a must
- High school diploma GED and/or an equivalent
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations
- General knowledge of dump trucks and heavy equipment
- Strong customer service skills
- Great communication skills
- Ability to receive and implement feedback
- No positive substance abuse test or denial to submit to a substance abuse test while working for a commercial carrier
- Must pass a DOT preemployment drug and alcohol screening
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs.
- Climbing stooping bending squatting lifting stretching pulling
- May require sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate CDL equipment and basic office equipment
- Vision abilities (with correction) include close distance peripheral depth and the ability to focus sight
- A high level of awareness of surroundings and environment
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery and in dusty or greasy environments.
- Must be able to wear protective gear including gloves boots and safety glasses.
