We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Operations Data Analyst to join our dynamic team based at Heathrow Airport. In this role you will collaborate closely with our Data Engineers and Power Platform Developers to drive operational efficiency streamline processes and optimize business performance. As a Business Operations Analyst you will have the opportunity to work with cuttingedge technologies and contribute to the seamless functioning of airport operations worldwide.
Role Responsibilities
As an Operations Data Analyst you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of baggage handling systems ensuring smooth and seamless travel experiences for millions of passengers and contribute to the success of Vanderlandes mission to revolutionise airport logistics. Must have some exposure to airport/manufacturing environments.
Your responsibilities and activities will include:
- Collaboration with Data Engineers and Power Platform Developers to gather analyze and interpret complex datasets related to baggage handling systems and airport operations.
- Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify trends patterns and insights within the data enabling datadriven decisionmaking
- Prepare comprehensive reports dashboards and visualizations to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders supporting efficient and effective airport operations
- Identify areas for operational improvement within baggage handling systems and airport processes and develop strategies to streamline business operations
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including engineers and operational staff to implement process changes monitor progress and ensure successful outcomes
- Conduct regular audits to assess process efficiency and identify opportunities for optimization enhancing the overall performance of baggage handling systems
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics to assess the performance of baggage handling systems and airport operations
- Collaborate with our Power Platform Developers to create automated workflows and tools that enhance operational efficiency ensuring seamless baggage handling operations
- Foster strong working relationships with the Data Engineer and Power Platform Developer to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Communicate complex data insights and technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders including airport management and operational teams in a clear and concise manner
Role Qualification and Skills
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Statistics or a related field. A masters degree is a plus
- Experience in manufacturing/airport environments preferred
- Proven experience in data analysis business intelligence or operations analysis preferably within the aviation or transportation industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and identify patterns and trends contributing to datadriven decisionmaking.
- Knowledge of SQL data modeling and database management systems facilitating effective data extraction and analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python R or SQL is important for data analysis. Familiarity with database querying data manipulation and data cleaning techniques is also beneficial.
- Experience in process improvement and project management methodologies supporting the optimization of airport operations.
- Familiarity with Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate is desirable enhancing automation capabilities
