Job Description
Our client is looking for a Shipping Associate who can work 1st shift only.
Job Duties:
Pull process and ship orders in compliance with the federal and international dangerous goods regulations visa Federal Express or a common carrier.
Receive and assign lot number/part number and stock raw materials as they are delivered.
Transfer finished goods out of production and stock in warehouse appropriately.
Enter FedEx orders into computer billing system.
Assist in relabeling of product per requirement of foreign shipping destinations.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/ GED
Communication skills both written and verbal
Basic math skills; two digit addition and subtraction; multiplication and division of 10s and 100s. Ability to apply these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance.
A commitment to continuous quality and productivity improvement
Hold a certification in the shipping of dangerous goods and understand the various requirements of shipping the numerous types 12 of hazardous products handled for each mode of transport.
Physical Demands:
Required to regularly stand use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Lift 10 pounds regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
