Creditors Clerk (Debt Collection)
Location: Remote
Salary: $1200 $2000 per month
System Used: Athena
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and resultsdriven Creditors Clerk to manage outstanding patient balances for our client. The role involves calling patients communicating balances and collecting payments—allowing inhouse financial counselors to focus on critical clinic tasks such as surgery estimates and imaging requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Debt Collection: Contact patients via phone to discuss and collect outstanding balances.
- Patient Communication: Clearly and professionally explain account details and payment options.
- Payment Processing: Guide patients through payment completion and document transactions accurately.
- System Management: Use the Athena system to track balances update patient records and manage payment statuses.
- Independence & Initiative: Own the role by managing daily tasks with minimal supervision.
Candidate Requirements
English Proficiency: Strong verbal and written skills for USbased patient interactions.
Phone Experience: Confident and professional phone manner for debt collection.
SelfManaged: Takes initiative works independently and proactively resolves issues.
Empathetic & Professional: Able to handle sensitive financial discussions with kindness and professionalism.
TechSavvy: Comfortable using financial software specifically Athena.
