Job Description

CT Radiographer I 15k Sign on Bonus

$15000 Sign on Bonus applies to non University of Maryland Medical System employees

FullTime; Night Shift; Wednesday Friday and Saturday 7pm7am

 

Various Shifts Available:

  • Nights; Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday 9:00pm7:00am (FullTime)
  • Nights; Friday Saturday Sunday 7:00pm7:00am (FullTime)
  • Nights; Sunday Monday Tuesday 7:00pm7:00am (FullTime)
  • PRN; As Needed Schedule

As a CT Radiographer you will:

  • Perform a variety of routine and specialized technical procedures with limited supervision.
  • Schedule examinations according to CT protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain a smooth and productive workflow.

Principal Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Clinical Practice/Patient Care:
    • Operate Tomography Imaging equipment per standard procedures.
    • Demonstrate clinical competence in Musculoskeletal Neuro and Body imaging.
    • Show basic knowledge in computers and image management.
    • Respond to patient care emergencies.
    • Pursue continuing education in CT.
    • Document QA activities.
    • Select appropriate protocols.
    • Ensure patient safety per regulatory standards.
  • Leadership:
    • Participate in scheduling work with support personnel.
    • Review radiology procedure requests with radiologists or supervisors as needed.
  • Unit Management:
    • Notify Chief Tech/Team Leader of protocol change requests.
    • Communicate with clinicians about patient preparation.
    • Comply with departmental and UMMS standards.
    • Ensure availability of unitbased products (e.g. O2 tubing).

Qualifications :

  • Requirements:
    • Graduation from an AMAapproved school of Radiologic Technology.
    • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
    • Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene license.
    • CPR certification.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of crosssectional anatomy.
    • Understanding of imaging principles and practices.
