Role Purpose
- Supervisory role for a team of TMD Managers based in East and East Central Divisions
- Coordinate and manage Reasons to believe trials program for NPI in assigned business divisions
- Support agronomic capability for successful commercial team.
- Bring the agronomic insights required to support the divisions in putting the customer in the center of what we do
- Coordinate with commercial team and ensure the successful implementation of sales demo program with clear commercial benefits.
- Where assigned liaise with and proactively influence key value chain partners to provide technical support for Syngenta products and build a deeper knowledge of value chains of strategic importance for closer collaboration in future business opportunities.
- Coordinate product complaints in conjunction with sales and field development.
- Support competitors monitoring in assigned geographies
- Translate tech benefits into the language of customers (better NPIs & demand generation)
Accountabilities
- Lead Reason to believe trials aimed at providing new grower solutions in assigned business divisions.
- Ensure implementation of the NPI (New products) LPTs plan in changed market scenario local conditions and competitions work in close coordination with divisional team
- Technical guidance to the business units for market penetration during postlaunch phase
- Revalidate the current portfolio to offer best crop solutions to the growers including resistant management to enhance product life cycle of the products as per guidance given by CPD.
- Champion demonstration of NPIs based on insights from Tech Support lead.
- Provide customer insights to Syngenta CPD through feedback received from Tech Support lead
- Provide technical support for local optimization of NPIs for grower needs.
- Manage and develop the Technical Support to Sales teams that are aligned to the Commercial targets
- Understand the insights of why and how a farmer uses our new product ahead of the launch and the challenges and opportunities about it
- Create enthusiasm in customers as well as Division team about new products through large size demo trials and mega showcasing
- To form bridge between sales and development team in making LPTs more customer centric
- To have good skills in intercommunication and high level of technical expertise related to the crop systems major pests diseases & weeds and spray technology in the area
- Participate in campaigns during launch and ensure right technical communication and implementation
- Attend selectively to product complaints and provide solutions in consultation with CPD
- To support division team to develop technical capabilities

- Doctorate/Postgraduate in Agriculture Sciences in relevant subject (Ph.D./M.Sc. in Agricultural Entomology/Plant Pathology or Agronomy)
- Sound Knowledge of Agriculture in region.
- Some experience in developing product development strategies.
- Crop pest geographies customer (farmer) knowledge.
- Team building and team leading experience.
Critical experience
- At least 58 years experience of working in the relevant field is desirable.
- Understand customer needs business potential region /Country.
