SEBMFEast Bay Medical FoundationPosition Overview:
*SIGN ON BONUS OPPORTUNITY: $5000.00 for external candidatesProviding functional direction to clinicians and office activities by offering input to technical procedural guidelines and acting as a resource for lab personnel. Supervises the activities in the absence of the manager. Provides treatment management diagnostic testing control education and care of patients with sleep and wake disorders. Analyzes monitors and records physiologic data during sleep and wakefulness to assist in the treatment of disorders syndromes and dysfunctions that are sleeprelated manifest during sleep or disrupt normal sleep activities. Provides therapeutic and diagnostic use of oxygen the use of positive airway pressure including continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bilevel modalities adaptive servoventilation and maintenance of nasal and oral airways that do not extend into the trachea. Supports in scoring of home sleep studies and assisted sleep studies as needed.

EDUCATION:
Meets Medical Board of California requirements for PSGT licensees or meets Respiratory Care Board of California requirements for respiratory care practitioner program for RCP licensees
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
PSGTPolysomnographic Technologist from Medical Board of California
OR RCPRespiratory Care Practitioner
BLSBasic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
8 years of recent experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of basic management principles and methods.
Advanced understanding of computers and digital networks for digital data analysis and trouble shooting computer malfunctions. Proficiency in Polysomnography Scoring and teambuilding.
Knowledge of human anatomy cardiorespiratory function neurophysiology and neurology.
Understanding of physics medical electronics indepth medical terminology with emphasis on pulmonology neurology and sleeprelated pharmacology.

Pay Range is $49.68 to $62.09 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidates experience education skills licensure and certifications department equity training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
