CNC Machinist Join a Leading Manufacturer with CuttingEdge Technology
Summary: We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team at Ohio Gratings Inc. where we provide opportunities for growth handson experience with stateoftheart equipment and an environment that encourages innovation. In this role you will set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools to produce precision parts with minimal supervision in a fastpaced job shop setting. Youll work with a range of machine tools from CNC lathes to multiaxis CNC machining centers and utilize advanced Gcode programming blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
- CNC Setup & Operation: Set up operate and maintain CNC machines (lathes mills) to complete precision machining tasks.
- Quality Control: Use precision measuring tools (micrometers calipers and gauges) to inspect parts ensuring they meet rigorous specifications. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any issues.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints job travelers and layouts applying knowledge of GD&T to ensure proper machining and measurements.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to machine setups production processes and efficiency.
- Production Documentation: Maintain accurate records in EPICOR tracking time quantity and s data for all assigned work orders.
- Machine Maintenance: Inspect and perform minor repairs on machinery to keep operations running smoothly.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all safety regulations.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools (lathes mills).
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail strong organizational skills and excellent time management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative work environment.
- Familiarity with EPICOR or similar ERP systems is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational or technical training in Machining Technology or CNC Machining preferred.
- Previous CNC machining experience in a job shop environment highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to work in a highpaced handson environment with shifting priorities.
