Job Description
The Opportunity: PLA Bus Drivers are responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and field trips.
The Details:
Key Deliverables:
- Assistance with transporting students from designated pickup points and dropoff at school
- Transport students from school and to their designated dropoff point
- Follow assigned bus routes
- Field trips are required
- Moderate familiarity with bus routes
- Provide a safe transportation environment for all students
Experience and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma preferred or GED
- CDL license and yellow card required
- No atfault traffic accidents in the last 5 years
- Clean driving record (no traffic citations in the last 5 years)
- Ability to carry out assigned routes on time
- Excellent communication skills

The Campus:
Hope Community PCS Tolson is a public charter school in Washington D.C. that was founded in 2006 and recently joined the PLA network in 2022. We serve about 250 scholars from PK 8th grade with a school population that is reflective of the strength and diversity of the community in which we are privileged to serve. We pride ourselves on our STEAMfocused learning that results in scholars taking risks engaging in learning and having ownership of their education. Our vision is centered on having a growth mindset to encourage our scholars to develop their immense potential and continue to be active contributors to their communities.
