Our ideal candidate is a Power Engineer who will design and optimize electrical systems for modular wastetoenergy plants at our new Slovakia office. You should have expertise in power systems gas turbines and sustainable energy. This role requires technical excellence regulatory knowledge and collaboration to drive efficiency and innovation. We are looking for a problemsolver with attention to detail and experience managing complex engineering projects.
Tasks
- Design and integrate electrical systems for modular wastetoenergy plants including power distribution control panels and grid connectivity;
- Develop and optimize power generation equipment (e.g. gas turbines ORC modules transformers) in collaboration with equipment manufacturers;
- Oversee the development of the plants power island from initial concept to commissioning;
- Ensure compliance with EU directives local electrical codes and safety standards (e.g. Machinery Directive ATEX);
- Conduct risk assessments (e.g. HAZOP FMEA) and implement mitigation strategies;
- Diagnose and resolve operational issues improving energy efficiency and system performance;
- Coordinate with suppliers for equipment procurement and review technical documentation;
- Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Power Engineering or related field;
- 5 years of experience in power system design preferably in energy plants or industrial facilities;
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical ETAP) and PLC programming (e.g. Siemens TIA Portal AllenBradley);
- Strong understanding of power generation processes gas turbine thermodynamics and grid synchronization;
- Knowledge of international standards (e.g. IEC 61850 EN 60204 and industry regulations;
- Excellent analytical communication and project management skills;
- Ability to manage complex projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
