Role Business System Analyst SAP Asset Management
Location San Jose CA preferred if remote look for only Central time zone candidates
Analyzing Business Processes:
Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement.
Understanding common Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
demonstrates experience in analyzing business processes across various functional
areas.
Exposure to ERP modules such as : Supply Chain Management Inventory
Management Demand Planning Material resource Planning Asset Management
Plant Maintenance Bill of Materials.
Requirements Gathering and Solution Design:
Gather requirements from stakeholders across different Business areas.
Design and document system solutions including workflows and user stories.
Basic knowledge of Integration with ERP FIAA & MMIM configuration and
support.
Asset lifecycle management (installation to retirement).
SQL queries data analysis and API integration.
Business analysis (ASIS FDD BRD).
Test case development and SIT UAT).
Integration of 3rd/1st party systems with SAP/ERP.
Technical Skills and Implementation:
Research and recommend new technologies and software solutions.
Collaborate with developers various IT teams and Business teams to implement
new systems.
Create a Functional Design document or Business requirement Document if
needed. (These documents capture requirements for developers)
Expert in SQL queries BIG query and Plx experience would be an additional
advantage. (These are all valuable skills for data manipulation and analysis often
used by BSAs)
Good Understanding on APIs and exposure of API use. (APIs are how different
systems communicate BSAs need to understand how they work)
Expert in Data analysis in Google sheet. (While not the only tool BSAs often use
spreadsheets for data analysis)
Testing and User Support:
Preparation of test cases create sample data for test cases Testing executions
Create Test evidence documents. (These are all part of the system testing process)
Test and troubleshoot system functionality can work on P0 P1 P2 production
issues. (P1 and P2 likely refer to high and medium priority bugs)
Develop training materials and support users during system implementation.
Additional Skills:
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. (Essential for any BSA)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. (Needed to gather
requirements collaborate with stakeholders and train users)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. (BSAs often work on
independent tasks but also collaborate with various teams)
SAP knowledge is a plus but not mandatory. (Knowledge of specific ERP systems
can be valuable depending on the industry
