Type of Job: Work from office 5 Days working (Contract to hire)
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Vice CTO Logistics & Mail to lead and drive the strategic direction of our companys technology initiatives within the logistics and mail sector. This critical role will oversee the development implementation and maintenance of cuttingedge IT solutions that optimize operations enhance customer experience and drive business growth
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
o Define and execute the longterm IT strategy for the logistics and mail sector aligning with overall business objectives.
o Oversee the development and implementation of innovative IT solutions including but not limited to:
- Mail Sorting Systems: Design implement and maintain efficient mail sorting systems to improve processing speed and accuracy.
- Route Optimization Tools: Develop and implement sophisticated algorithms to optimize delivery routes minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
- Realtime Tracking Systems: Lead the development and implementation of robust realtime tracking systems for all shipments providing customers with uptodate visibility and enhancing transparency.
o Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements in the logistics and mail industry including AI/ML blockchain IoT and cloud computing.
Operational Excellence:
o Lead and manage a highperforming team of IT professionals including software engineers data scientists and system administrators.
o Oversee the daytoday operations of the IT infrastructure ensuring high availability security and performance.
o Manage IT budgets and resources effectively ensuring optimal utilization and return on investment.
o Drive continuous improvement in IT processes and procedures enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
o Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including operations sales and customer service to ensure alignment of IT initiatives with business goals.
o Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and data privacy standards
Change Management:
o Lead and manage the implementation of significant ITrelated change initiatives ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruption to business operations.
o Develop and execute comprehensive change management plans including communication training and support. o Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the IT department.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
12 years of progressive experience in IT with at least 5 years of specific experience in the logistics transportation or postal operations sector.
Proven experience in leading and managing largescale IT projects including mail sorting systems route optimization tools and realtime tracking systems.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure including networks servers databases and cloud computing.
Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile Waterfall) and project management best practices.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and nontechnical audiences
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AI/ML blockchain IoT and other emerging technologies.
- Experience with data analytics and business intelligence.
- Experience with cybersecurity and data privacy best practices.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
