Job Description
Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Mattoon Illinois
Salary: $33.73 $52.28 per hour (based on experience) Shift Differential Eligible
Shift: Night Shift 5:30 PM 6:00 AM Three 12Hour Shifts per Week 36 Hours Total)
Job Overview:
We are hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist for a permanent night shift position in Mattoon IL. This role offers a highly competitive hourly rate a $10000 signon bonus and relocation assistance (discussed at interview). The technologist will perform highquality general and vascular ultrasound exams and support physicians in image interpretation and procedures. This is a great opportunity to join a compassionate and trusted healthcare organization with no oncall or weekend requirements.
Note: Candidates must reside outside a 50mile radius of the facility to be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound exams including abdominal OB/GYN small parts breast and specialty procedures (e.g. biopsies aspirations)
- Conduct vascular studies such as venous duplex venous mapping carotid duplex and arterial Doppler
- Assess patient history and clinical symptoms to ensure proper exam selection
- Produce and document highquality ultrasound images for physician interpretation
- Maintain equipment with routine checks and cleaning
- Adhere to hospital policies and imaging protocols
- Collaborate with physicians during procedures as needed
- Act as a liaison for clinical ultrasound training programs and assist in training students
- Send completed studies for interpretation in accordance with department standards
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- ARDMS certification required (in at least one area; multiple preferred)
- Experience in both general and vascular ultrasound exams
- Excellent communication documentation and patient care skills
- Must be eligible to work night shifts and live outside of a 50mile radius from the facility
