Job Description

Our client a world leader in life sciences and diagnostics is looking for a Senior Scientist based out ofPleasanton CA.

Duration:LongTerm Contract (High possibility of extension)

Pay Rate: $50 $53/hr on W2 (DOE)

The senior scientist will be a member of the Research and Early Development LDT/RUO and Pharma services team.

Responsibilities:

Responsible to designs plans and execute assigned research and/or developmentrelated experiments/projects utilizing established and innovative procedures and applying scientific knowledge and accumulated experience to complete projects.
Contributes to the definition and timely achievement of overall project goals.
Makes recommendations and when appropriate acts independently to resolve scientific problems encounters during the experimental procedures to improve productivity of results.

Qualifications:

Masters/Bachelors in life sciences chemical sciences or related scientific field with 5/7 relevant industry experience.
Proficiency with molecular biology techniques such as PCR qPCR gel electrophoresis molecular cloning.
Proficiency with advanced data analysis tools such as Excel JMP.
Knowledge of Next generation sequencing based workflows including target enrichment and library preparation is preferred.
Experience with dropletdigital PCR and NGS platforms is preferred.
