Use and operate test and balance equipment and instrumentation.
Proactively communicate progress issues and status to management as required.
Adjust fan speeds pumps speeds balancing dampers fan rotation heating and cooling modes thermostat operation damper controls fan controls valve positioning and other air/waterside mechanical system operations.
Complete paperwork legibly and concisely.
Test and repair circuits and sensors following wiring and system specifications.
Perform initial site inspection review mechanical plans and specifications.
Adjust balancing dampers measure final HVAC operating conditions and ensure correct building and space pressure.
Adjust individual balancing dampers for supply return make up and exhaust as needed to achieve design airflow from each diffuser grill and register.
Use software to interact and validate Building Automation System operation.
Requirements
TAB Technician Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma associate degree or equivalent from a twoyear college or technical school with a certificate in Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning is preferred.
NEBB/AABC Certifications as a Technician is required.
115 years experience in commercial HVAC Controls Mechanical Services and/or Test & Balance
Excellent organizational skills including but not limited to the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written skills
Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a nontechnical audience
Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone iPad)
This position requires working in diverse project types including industrial environments
