Job Description
Design Technology Teacher Kingston Secondary School
An Outstanding secondary school in Kingston is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join their Design and Technology department. This is a fulltime permanent position teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and practical Design Technology lessons.
- Cover a range of specialisms within Design Technology (e.g. Resistant Materials Graphics Product Design Textiles specify if a particular specialism is preferred.
- Create a safe and supportive workshop environment.
- Assess student progress and provide effective feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the Design Technology curriculum.
- Work at an Outstanding School.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Design Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary level.
- Strong practical skills and knowledge across a range of DT specialisms.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Be a Design Technology Teacher.
