Job Description
Healthcare Assistant
Full Time 40hrs)
MondaySaturday (Saturday on shared rota basis)
From 25396pa (Increasing with relevant skill set/experience)
We are looking for an experienced healthcare assistant to work full time at Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic. The successful candidate will undertake clinical activities as directed and under the supervision of the Lead Nurse.
Duties and responsibilities include
- Supporting our consultant dermatologists with consultations and surgical assistance in theatre (MOHS Mole/lesion excisions biopsies and shaves)
- Venesection
- Wound checks dressing change and stitch removal postsurgery
- Maintaining infection control standards in line with CQC
- daily clinic checks
- Maintaining stock
- Promoting high standards of clinical care to our patients across the board
- Ensuring clinical audits policies procedures and medical governance standards
Skills and Qualifications
- Care Certificate or higher
- Venepuncture/Phlebotomy experience (essential)
- Background/Interest in Dermatology (desirable)
- A real passion for patient care and delivering
- A good understanding of CQC policies relating to a clinical environment
- Good communicator and team player
