JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of controls software for Mechatronic systems from concept to production using tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
- Design and develop physicsbased models sensor characterization diagnostics and robust controls.
- Develop vehicle dynamics algorithms for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and Electric Vehicles (EVs) including safety preconditions.
- Establish learning routines for Production EndofLine optimization.
- Handson experience in software validation through unit testing ModelintheLoop (MIL) testing bench testing and invehicle testing to ensure system reliability.
- Create tools for testing and data processing including ECU/dyno integration for durability testing endofline validation CAN validation and data visualization.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including design documents test plans and validation reports.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration and validation of control systems.
Requirements:
- Overall 812 yrs of experience.
- Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Electrical Aerospace or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university with 3 Years Automotive Experience
- Specialization in classical and modern control disciplines with vehicle application
- Embedded software experience
- Experience with modelbased development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
- Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETASINCA
- Demonstrated technical problem solving
- Strong overall knowledge of vehicle and powertrain functions
- Experience with modeling simulation development testing calibration and/or validation
- Outstanding interpersonal and problemsolving skills
