Are you a seasoned assurance professional with deep expertise in the GB retail electricity market Do you have a strong track record in delivering market assurance or performance assurance services engaging with senior stakeholders and driving strategic improvements in assurance compliance and risk management
We are looking for an experienced Principal Assurance Consultant to join our growing Future Markets team. The successful candidate will lead assurance and audit activities provide expert analysis and shape best practices within the industry. In this role you will oversee complex projects work closely with regulators and market participants and contribute to the wider strategic goals of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Leading the delivery of electricity retail market assurance and audit services ensuring highquality outcomes.
Providing expert analysis and strategic insights translating complex issues into clear actionable solutions for clients.
Designing and executing project work plans adapting as necessary to meet evolving client and market requirements.
Acting as a senior assurance advisor sharing expertise both internally and externally to drive industry best practice.
Developing and managing relationships with senior stakeholders including market participants regulatory authorities and industry bodies.
Identifying and mitigating risks supporting clients in navigating regulatory and compliance challenges.
Contributing significantly to Gemservs strategic objectives and targets; and
Effectively operating in our management structure including direct line management development of junior team/project team members and supporting wider resourcing activities within the business.
Qualifications :
About You
Extensive experience in assurance audit compliance or risk management within the GB retail electricity market.
Deep understanding of market structure industry codes and regulatory frameworks.
Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders including regulators and market participants.
Strong leadership skills with experience in leading projects teams or assurance programmes.
Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
Proactive and adaptable with the ability to drive strategic improvements and industrywide initiatives.
