To inspire and prepare all students with the confidence courage and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning.

 

 

 

K12 Extended School Year (ESY) services will be offered at Woodland and Basswood Elementary as well as Osseo Junior High. The goal of ESY services is to help students maintain their current level of functioning. The ESY lead will oversee ESY service providers who will address areas of need through using instructional materials provided by service providers who work with the student during the course of the regular school year.

 

The program will be held for a total of sixteen days on the following dates; Monday Thursday July 8th August 1st.

 

 

 

An ESY Orientation meeting will be held on Tuesday June 25th.  Class sessions will last for three hours. Licensed providers will be given thirty minutes of prep time before and after each class session and ESPs will be given 15 minutes of prep time before and after each class session.
 

 


Responsibilities: Position oversees the following: instruction and support in the curriculum areas for which employed; make appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies. Implement the goals and objectives of the District and the school and/or program for which employed.

 

 

 

Required Qualifications: Valid Minnesota teaching license in appropriate field.

 


Desired Qualifications:

 
  • Considerable knowledge of the curriculum areas the teacher is responsible for instructing.
  • Considerable knowledge of educational philosophy teaching methods and approaches current researched best practices and strategies.
  • Considerable knowledge of students learning styles and needs both academic and affective.
  • Considerable knowledge of multicultural gender and disability fair curriculum concepts.
    Working knowledge of instructional technologies.
  • Considerable skill in classroom management and organization.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate and/or participate in team meetings and parent meetings.
