Job Description

Our client who provides postemployment medical benefits and longterm service awards to retired employees seeks to appoint a firm of Registered Actuaries for 36 months.

SCOPE OF WORK
  • Prepare annual financial statements by 31 May each year using GRAP standards
  • Service provider to support AFS preparation with actuarial analysis narrative and calculations
  • Perform actuarial analysis and calculations for postemployment medical benefits and longservice awards
  • Submit two actuarial reports for review and approval in electronic format
  • Provide expert advice on information structure analysis and queries
  • Information used to update AFS for employee benefit obligations disclosure

Requirements:
  • Team leader or senior member must be registered with relevant Professional South African Bodies in the Actuary field.
  • Previous experience in the Actuarial field with references not older than 5 years.
  • Detailed methodology demonstrating understanding of scope and ability to render services.
  • Project team with relevant qualifications and experience including leadership and project management skills.
