Job Description

Job Title: Renal Dietitian

Location: Delano CA

Salary: $84000 $115000 annually (dependent on experience)

Shift: Day Shift Monday to Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Flexible schedule Saturdays if needed

Job Description:

A growing dialysis care team is seeking Registered Dietitians in the Delano and Bakersfield area to provide compassionate patientcentered nutritional support to individuals with EndStage Renal Disease (ESRD). This fulltime opportunity 40 hours/week) plays a vital role in improving patients quality of life through dietary education monitoring and care planning.

Ideal candidates will be experienced in renal nutrition or clinical settings and hold registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. A California license or at least one year of clinical nutrition experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for dialysis patients
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
  • Provide continuous education and counseling on renal diets
  • Monitor lab results and adjust dietary plans or medications per protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians and the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to ensure quality care
  • Participate in care planning and QAPI meetings
  • Assist with access to nutritional resources supplements and community services
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA regulations
  • Stay informed of updates in renal nutrition through national/state programs
  • Document care and treatment changes in compliance with state regulations

Qualifications:

  • Registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration
  • Licensed in California (or at least one year of clinical nutrition experience)
  • Experience with ESRD patients preferred
  • Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
