Haskells Design & Consulting Team unites architecture engineering and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. Our diverse and innovative team allows Haskell to serve our clients with multiple project delivery methods including designbuild engineerprocureconstruct feeforservice or consulting services. These services allow our team to form a strong rapport with clients marshalling them as they grow and helping them address industry and market challenges. The Design & Consulting Team servesFederal Government projects. In this role you will be responsible for assigned projects including engineering design coordination client communications and associated construction administration. Your responsibilities include performance of or oversight of engineering calculations systems and equipment selection mechanical and plumbing systems design and drafting supervision of the mechanical and plumbing engineers and designers assigned to the project project design budget management and project schedule management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with owners requirements and standards for mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Confirm and review applicable codes and standards (e.g. IBC ASHRAE NFPA).
  • Establish and document mechanical plumbing and HVAC systems basis of design.
  • Validate construction costs and provide value engineering options.
  • Perform and document engineering calculations and equipment selections for HVAC systems.
  • Travel requirements: Up to 25 annually based on business needs

Education/Experience:

  • Mechanical engineering degree.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience postPE licensure.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Proficient in drafting and specifying mechanical plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Revit skills required.
  • Federal UFC and DoD work experience
  • Experience with lifecycle cost analyses

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand walk stoop kneel crouch and manipulate (lift carry move) light to medium weights of 1050 pounds. Requires good handeye coordination and arm hand and finger dexterity including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit reach with hands and arms talk and hear.
