About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 potentially specializing in areas such as product design engineering or food technology based on your expertise.
- Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage students to explore design briefs experiment with materials and utilize modern manufacturing techniques with a focus on sustainable and ethical design practices.
- Assess student progress through project work design portfolios and practical assessments providing detailed and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to extracurricular design clubs and competitions potentially incorporating projects with a social or ethical dimension.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design and Technology or a related field.
- A strong understanding of design principles manufacturing processes and current technologies relevant to your specialism.
- Proficiency in relevant software and experience with workshop equipment.
- Excellent communication organizational and problemsolving skills.
- A commitment to the schools Catholic ethos and values with an awareness of the ethical implications of design and technology.
