Job Description
Overview: The VB Developer plays a critical role in the software development team by designing developing and maintaining applications tailored to meet the specific needs of users within our organization. This role focuses on leveraging VB as a primary programming language to create efficient and scalable solutions while ensuring compatibility and performance across different platforms. The developer collaborates closely with business analysts and other stakeholders to gather requirements define project scopes and create detailed technical documentation. Additionally the successful candidate will engage in problemsolving to identify and remedy issues within existing applications thereby enhancing overall productivity. With the growing demand for robust software applications that drive business outcomes the VB Developers contributions are vital in ensuring our technological capabilities align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and implement software applications using VB.
- Collaborate with software architects and business analysts to understand project requirements.
- Write clean scalable and efficient code to enhance application performance.
- Modify existing applications and troubleshoot issues promptly.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure software quality.
- Integrate applications with databases and external APIs as needed.
- Participate in code reviews and recommend improvements to code quality.
- Document application processes including technical specifications and user guides.
- Assist in the deployment of applications and updates in a production environment.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and prioritize project features.

- Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve development processes.
- Assist in the estimation of project timelines and resource requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a VB Developer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of the .NET framework and ASP.
- Proficiency in SQL databases such as SQL Server or MySQL.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies including HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with development tools and version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Understanding of software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
- Experience with application testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of web services and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with debugging tools and performance optimization techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality software.
- Adept at adapting to new technologies and willing to learn.
- Prior involvement in projects covering the full software development lifecycle.
