Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a proactive and resultsdriven Business Development Officer (Ticketing Specialist) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in travel ticketing with handson experience using Amadeus and other GDS (Global Distribution Systems). This role requires expertise in airline reservations fare calculations and ticket issuance as well as the ability to identify business opportunities build partnerships and drive sales growth in the travel sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Ticketing & Reservation Management
- Process flight reservations and issue tickets using Amadeus Sabre Galileo or other GDS platforms.
- Handle fare calculations reissuances refunds and exchanges efficiently.
- Ensure accurate booking procedures while adhering to airline policies and travel regulations.
- Provide customers with travel options pricing details and itinerary modifications.
- Monitor and manage airline schedule changes and inform clients accordingly.
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the travel and tourism sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines travel agencies and corporate clients.
- Develop strategies to increase ticket sales and maximize revenue.
- Negotiate contracts and partnerships with vendors airlines and thirdparty travel service providers.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and customer needs.
- Work towards achieving sales targets and business growth objectives.
Customer Service & Support
- Assist clients with flight bookings ticketing issues and travel inquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service to retain clients and enhance brand loyalty.
- Address and resolve complaints refunds and disputes related to ticketing.
Operations & Compliance
- Stay updated with airline policies IATA regulations and travel industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies airline contracts and GDS agreements.
- Maintain detailed reports on sales bookings and customer feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Travel & Tourism or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in airline ticketing and business development.
- Proficiency in Amadeus Sabre Galileo or other GDS platforms.
- Strong negotiation sales and networking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of airline fare rules ticketing procedures and travel regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IATA certification in ticketing & reservation.
- Experience working with corporate clients and travel agencies.
- Familiarity with B2B and B2C sales strategies in the travel industry.
