Description

As theChief Data Officer (CDO) you will be a key member of Tektras leadership team. Your primary focus will be to establish and grow Tektras data services by recruiting leading and developing a highperforming team of data engineers.

You define professional success in the short term and long term:

• Short term you establish the team and you activate this team on customer projects

Key Responsibilities

Consulting

• Lead data consultancy projects and assignments serving as the main point of contact for clients.
  
• Deliver highquality data solutions that align with client requirements and business goals.
  
• Provide ongoing support and advisory services to clients ensuring longterm satisfaction and growth.
  

Leadership

• Build mentor and lead a highperforming team of data engineers ensuring their continuous development and success.
  
• Oversee the technical recruitment process in collaboration with the Tektra recruitment team selecting top talent for the data team.
  
• Provide guidance coaching and support to the data engineering team to drive performance and foster innovation.
  

Business Development

• Develop and implement strategic plans to grow Tektras data services and enhance the brands market presence.
  
• Proactively identify new business opportunities and contribute to marketing activities positioning Tektra as a leader in data consultancy.
  
• Represent Tektra at key industry events building networks and fostering relationships with potential clients and partners.

For this pivotal role Tektra is looking for an experienceddata engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset who can drive growth while maintaining technical excellence.

MustHave Requirements:

1.10 years of experience in data consultancy or technology leadership:

• Proven track record of delivering highquality solutions in the IT and data consultancy space especially within the Belgian market.
  

2.Technical Expertise:

• Strong proficiency inPythonand other relevant programming languages such asSQLorJava.
  
• Experience with cloud platforms likeAWSMicrosoft Azure andGoogle Cloud including deploying managing and optimizing cloudbased solutions.
  
• Handson experience withdata governancearchitectureengineering andsecuritybest practices.
  

3.Leadership Skills:

• Demonstrated ability tobuild mentor and lead teamsof data engineers or technology specialists.
  
• Stronginterpersonal and communication skills able to lead crossfunctional teams and communicate complex technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
  
• Proven experience in leading technology transformations and driving growth in alignment with business objectives.
  

4.Entrepreneurial Mindset:

• The ability to think strategically and execute with agrowthoriented approach contributing to the overall business development and success.
  
• Strongbusiness acumen with a keen understanding of how technology can drive business performance and profitability.
  

5.Handson Experience with Modern Technologies:

• Expertise inBig Datatechnologies likeHadoopSpark andKafka.
  
• Indepth understanding ofmachine learningAI anddata scienceprinciples with practical experience applying these in a business context.
  
• Proficiency inDevOpspractices including experience with tools likeDockerKubernetes andCI/CD pipelines.
  

6.Security and Compliance Knowledge:

• Comprehensive understanding of data protection regulations includingGDPRanddata privacylaws and how to design systems to remain compliant.
  

7.Agile and ProcessOriented Leadership:

• Experience leading teams usingAgile methodologies(Scrum Kanban) to deliver projects efficiently.
  
• Ability toselfsteerwhile working with a focus on process optimization and hitting operational targets.
  

8.Multilingual:

• Fluency inDutchFrench andEnglish both written and spoken with the ability to operate in a multilingual business environment.

2.Startup or ScaleUp Experience:

• Track record of successfully scaling teams technology infrastructures or solutions from the ground up.
  

3.AI/ML Certification:

• Additional certifications or coursework inArtificial IntelligenceMachine Learning orData Sciencefrom recognized institutions (e.g.Google Cloud Professional Data EngineerAWS Certified Machine Learning Specialist etc..
  

4.Experience with Blockchain Technology:

• Knowledge ofblockchain technologiesand their applications in the data ecosystem with practical implementation experience being a plus.
  

5.Advanced Leadership Programs:

• Participation in recognized leadership development programs or certifications (e.g.MIT Sloan Executive ProgramorHarvard Business Leadershipcourses).
  

6.Community Engagement:

• Active participation intech communities contributing toopensource projects attending or speaking at industry events and conferences.
  

7.UI/UX Design Knowledge:

• Understanding ofuser interface (UI)anduser experience (UX)design principles which can help drive customerfocused product development.
  

8.Sales & Marketing Collaboration:

• Experience collaborating with sales and marketing teams to align tech solutions with customer needs and contribute to growth strategies includingpresalesengagements orcustomer successprograms.
  

9.Soft Skills and Emotional Intelligence:

• A strong grasp ofemotional intelligence (EQ) facilitating better leadership and collaboration within teams.
