Cloud Imperium is looking for a Senior Network Programmer in our Wilmslow Studio to work on our exciting MMO PC space combat sim Star Citizen.**What do our Senior Network Programmers do:*** Working on our core network library* Research and implement new cutting edge networking technology and tools* Analyse refactor and improve upon existing network codebase* Helping programmers from other teams to implement networked game features* Assist team members with debugging and fixing network related problems* Proactively identify and address problems* Integrating the client and server with our backend services* Mentoring junior members of the team**What do we expect from our Senior Network Programmers:*** Strong C and multithreaded programming skills* Work well in a cooperative team environment* Strong software debugging skills to effectively track/diagnose/solve a variety of complex issues* Work well in a cooperative team environment* Ability to innovate plan and deliver full features* Excellent English communication both written and verbal**Qualifications and Experience:** * Experienced in TCP and UDP network programming* Experience developing server mesh technologies * Experience profiling and optimizing (network CPU memory IO)* Development experience in Windows/Linux* Experience with client/server development network traffic management* Management experience**CIG Diversity Statement***CIG is a global company staunchly committed to cultivating a culture and workplace that celebrates all backgrounds lifestyles and perspectives.
