Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching research and service in an institution dedicated to undergraduate and graduate education. The candidate will be expected to perform university public and professional service as part of the workload.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications required are a terminal degree from an accredited institution such as Ph.D. DBA or DSc in Information Systems (IS) or a field closely related to the area in which the individual will teach. ABD will be considered for this position. Evidence of successful defense of the dissertation must be received by July 31 for a fall hire or November 30 for a spring hire. If confirmation of defense is not provided by the deadline the candidate will receive a new oneyear fixedterm contract and be hired at the rank of Instructor. The candidates salary will also be reduced to a lower rate commensurate with other fulltime instructors in the same department. However if degree verification is provided before the end of the oneyear fixedterm contract the candidate will be returned to the rank of assistant professor with commensurate compensation beginning July 1 of the following academic year. The applicants academic concentration research programs or professional experience should be in areas directly related to IS cybersecurity and/or business analytics. Applicants must be able to demonstrate teaching excellence at the collegiate level along with a strong commitment to highquality research in the field. Relevant teaching experience at the university level a record of publications in peerreviewed journals and/or certifications in the field of IS cybersecurity and/or business analytics is expected. The successful candidate should have the ability to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Fall 2023 is the proposed start date; however the department will consider a spring 2024 start date.
