Job Description

Do you have a passion for working with adolescents living with mental health and substanceuse challenges At Easterseals PORT Health were seeking a compassionate and dedicated fulltime Qualified Professional to join our team at the Adolescent Residential Home in Greenville NC. As a valued member of our collaborative and supportive team you will work together to transform the lives of individuals by providing a comprehensive range of services that treat the whole person and empower patients to find their way forward.

What Youll Do

As a Qualified Professional (QP) on our team you will contribute significantly to the wellbeing of the individuals under your care by coordinating their individualized needs in conjunction with their full care team. As part of this team the QP serves on the treatment team writing notes participate in develop treatment plans to work toward positive outcomes coordinate followup care and provide referrals to other services as needed at discharge. The QP also leads group sessions throughout the week meeting with youths individually and can provide transportation to clients using the company vehicle as needed. The Greenville Adolescent Residential Home is a campus model safe environment for youths to recover and heal; they attend the school next door to stay on top of their education during their time with us. The team works closely together to make the GAR a home for the youths that live there. If you are passionate about working with youths and leading a team in helping them heal this may be the opportunity for you! Provide supervision to the kids maintain the program structure and model. implement the programs evidence based model. engage in therapeutic hands on interventions. Participate in music and art therapy with the youths. The day treatment program is provided in conjunction with this 24hour residential service; On occasion evening or weekend coverage may be needed.

Youll earn a competitive salary $18 21 / hour) based on your experience and enjoy a full time MondayFriday 8 am4 pm work schedule of 40 hours per week with some evening flexibility for program and client needs. We also offer competitive benefits for benefitseligible positions.

What Were Looking For

To join our team as the Qualified Professional you must have indepth knowledge of different therapeutic approaches and group techniques as well as their practical application possess toptier communication and documentation skills be adept at problem solving and deescalation in times of crisis. We also require:

  • Must meet the NC minimum standards for a Qualified Professional with a Bachelors degree and years of experience with the population served (teens coed 1317 with substance use)
  • Need to have 2 years experience with teens with substance use
    • Any mental health license preferred
  • Maintain valid state appropriate drivers license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
  • Must be able to work independently have strong verbal and written communication skills
