About the Opportunity

Berendsen Fluid Power Richlands operates a wellequipped and resourced workshop and machine shop that overhauls and rebuilds hydraulic cylinders hydraulic pumps and motors and is the base for a team of field service technicians that provide a range of breakdown and maintenance services to users of hydraulic equipment throughout South East Queensland.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a suitably experienced tradesman to provide leadership across the hydraulic cylinder rebuild and machine shop activities and to forge a career pathway within this rapidly growing national business.

About You

  • Possess the ability and drive to lead a small team of workshop tradesman.
  • Relevant Trade Qualifications (Diesel Mechanical or Hydraulic Fitter).
  • Strong experience in hydraulic cylinder rebuilding & machining
  • Customer focused with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise service reports.
  • Valid drivers licence and the flexibility to work overtime as required.


The Role

  • Lead a team of tradespeople and apprentices overseeing their work and assigning tasks to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Understand workshop workflow and collaborate with team on job scheduling and resource allocation to achieve maximum efficiency and economy.
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations.
  • Promoting and demonstrating safety behaviours and reporting processes.
