Job Description
This role is specifically within the SLS division of SOCOTEC. SLS/SOCOTEC is seeking dependable and proactive applicants focused on continuous improvement to join our team.
Senior Associates will work on our accomplished team to design and develop Life Safety and Fire Protection systems that integrate seamlessly with other building systems to achieve a safe and code compliant building design. Projects will focus on adherence to quality standards through plan reviews and technical reports. Projects will have components of but will not be limited to the following: egress design code research smoke control system design fireresistant construction analysis performancebased design fire sprinkler design and hazardous material analysis.
Senior Associates are expected to have strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills to effectively support team efficiency and exceed client expectations. Associates should also be detail oriented and possess superior problemsolving skills as seamless integration of compliance criteria aligned with the design intent for each project is SLSs ultimate goal.
- Independently manage projects with supporting staff
- Manage assigned tasks
- Effectively manage project budget throughout all phases of the project
- Develop project scope and pricing for proposal preparation
- Prepare monthly invoicing and assist in AR follow up
- Mentor and train Associates supporting project work
- Perform tasks associated with project deliverables including but not limited to the following: writing code reports outlining the compliance approach for the project; perform code reviews of project plans for compliance with applicable codes; preform onsite inspections; conduct performancebased designs; conduct hazardous material/laboratory analyses; conduct special inspections of smoke control firestopping and fireproofing; etc.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manage
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in the engineering or architecture disciplines required
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Fire Protection and Life Safety
- Engineering in Training (EIT) Certification and/or Professional Engineers License (P.E. preferred
- Experience with Bluebeam AutoCAD REVIT Microsoft Suite encouraged
- Experience with CONTAM Pyrosim FDS and/or PathFinder desirable
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong written communication skill

Salary Range: $100000$130000. Actual compensation will depend on skills experience location and other relevant metrics.
