Job Description
A vibrant Mixed School in Richmond seeks a passionate and talented Music Teacher to join our dynamic Performing Arts department. We are looking for an educator who can inspire a love of music in students of all abilities and contribute to our rich musical life.
- About Our Learning Community: Our school provides a welcoming and inclusive environment with a strong commitment to the arts. The Music department is wellequipped with practice rooms recording facilities and a range of instruments fostering both individual and ensemble performance.
- About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and varied Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 covering music theory history composition and performance.
- Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that cater to diverse musical interests and abilities.
- Assess student progress through practical performances compositions and written work providing constructive feedback.
- Direct and conduct school ensembles choirs and instrumental groups.
- Contribute to the organization of school concerts and musical events.
- Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Music.
- A strong knowledge of music theory history and performance practices across different genres.
- Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument.
- Excellent communication organizational and leadership skills.
- A passion for inspiring students through music and fostering their musical talents.
