Job Description
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Holds a valid drivers license
Holds a valid Class A or Class B CDL with Tanker endorsement
Must be able to operate a combination cleaning truck (i.e. Vactor)
Familiar with IT devices such as Smartphones tablets and accessing emails
Preferred Qualifications
Must obtain a Level 1 Wastewater or Collections Certification within a year of hire date
Basic knowledge in the operation and maintenance of vehicles equipment farm machinery pumps and equipment used in and around water and wastewater systems
Familiarity with hand and power tools and equipment commonly used in the maintenance of vehicles structures and buildings
Tech savvy in filling out work orders using Maintenance Connection
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs routine serving and corrective maintenance of wastewater collection systems.
Cleans vehicles heavy equipment pumps tools and other stationary and portable equipment.
Preforms routine inspections of vehicles and equipment; performs minor maintenance and lubrication of machinery such as changing oil and greasing equipment.
Operates and maintains vehicles equipment and tools that are required to load unload haul and spread sand gravel dirt and/or waste products (i.e. sludge product waste packaging waste etc.; digs and refills ditched and trenches.
Carries or holds materials supplies and tools to assist collections personnel.
Maintains grounds buildings and lift stations; cuts grass weeds and brush; trims trees and bushes; rakes grass leaves and trash.
Completion of work orders using technology software programs (i.e. Maintenance Connections) daily
Operates valves and gates either manually or by remote control.
Monitors gauges meters and control panels
Able to obtain a Level 1 Wastewater or Collections Certification within a year of hire date.
Works safely and adheres to established safety procedures.
Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with those contacted during the workday.
Ability to carry and respond to work orders as requested by management.
Ability and willingness to work oncall shifts as requested including being fit and able to respond to callins in a timely manner.
Understand and carries out oral and written directions.
Performs other duties as required.
