Job Description
Our client is looking for a Back End Developer with a strong BI Focus to join their feature team in Program Planning & Capacity Management (RePiKa).

POSITION: Contract until December 2027
EXPERIENCE: 46 Years related working experience.
COMMENCEMENT: 01 May 2025
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant IT / Business degree
- 10 years experience in relational databases (Oracle and or PostgreSQL)
- 5 years experience in ETL (Oracle and or Informatica and or AWS Glue)
- 5 years BI experience
- 3 years in a Cloud environment
- Experienced in designing developing testing and implementing complex solutions with integrations to other technologies and solutions
- Working within an Agile environment
- Working for international/global companies
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Oracle & ETL (Extract Transform and Load)
- AWS (Glue PostgreSQL RDS Athena S3 Lambda Monitoring and Support)
- Terraform (IAAS)
- Flyway
- Github (source/version control)
- Database Tools (DBeaver / pgAdmin / SQL Developer)
- Agile Methodology Jira and Confluence
- Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:
- Understanding of other BI Tools
- AWS Quicksight
- AWS EC2
- AWS ECS
- AWS Cloud9
- Informatica
- JSON/Python
- Iceberg
- Snowflake
- Kafka
ROLE:
- Managing projects / processes
- Ability to develop within a specific soughtafter programming language and or Cloud services
- Strong working knowledge with software development tools techniques and approaches used to generate and prepare data to be used by the application solutions
- Cloud computing technologies Business drivers and emerging computing trends
- Understanding of integration between different technologies
- Coordination between development and support environments
- Assisting with the business case
- Planning and monitoring
- Eliciting requirements
- Requirements organisation
- Translating and simplifying requirements
- Requirements management and communication
- Requirements analysis
- Document requirements in appropriate format depending on methodology followed
- Assist with identification and management of risks
- Solution testing: unit and end to end in multiple environments
- Document the development and keep existing documents and tools up to date
