Job Description
Work on nextgen defence technology as part of a critical UK project involving highprecision tracking and sensor fusion. At ALTEN were supporting a longterm programme that blends RF and electrooptical systems with complex mathematical modelling. This is your chance to be part of something impactful where your work contributes directly to national security. The environment is fastpaced collaborative and focused on pushing technical boundaries. Youll join a small skilled team and work handson across the full algorithm lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced algorithms for target tracking detection and classificatio
- Use mathematical modelling and digital signal processing (DSP) to solve realworld engineering challenges
- Support development of sensor fusion algorithms using data from RF and optical sensors
- Work in a defencegrade software environment contributing to secure and reliable system performance
- Perform simulation modelling and analysis using tools like MATLAB Simulink or Python
- Collaborate with systems software and test teams to ensure solutions meet missioncritical requirements
Qualifications :
Skills
- 5 years experience in Algorithms Engineering or a similar softwarefocused role
- Strong background in mathematical modelling and digital signal processing
- Experience working with RF or electrooptical systems (ideally both)
- Proficiency with tools such as MATLAB Simulink Python
- Previous experience in defence aerospace or safetycritical environments
Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Physics Mathematics Computer Science Engineering OR background in a relevant military/defence technical role
- Eligible for and SC Clearance and Sole UK National (UK Eyes Only)
