Job Description
The Purchasing Organization is at the heart of our company project 2030 Ambition that aligns all group towards one same ambition: reinforce our performance bring more value to our customers invent the smart living inspire and commit.
More than 140 people in Europe Asia and Africa compose Somfy Purchasing Department. To prepare and drive the function for our 2030 Ambition plan this organization recruits.
Within our Purchasing Excellence Organization you will lead transformation projects that will boost the overall performance of the Purchasing Community and thrive the future trends of the function.
On your projects you will drive the excellence of the function.
Your will build develop and capitalize the expertise on your field of activities. In more details :
- Define and deploy lean purchasing processes with associated indicators. Ensure their adoption within a plan do check act mindset.
- Drive the digitalization of the processes and implement Information System tools accordingly. Use digitalization and data as levers and accelerators.
- Animate the Purchasing Academy to develop the Community competencies. Specify or build new training modules train buyers on rules processes tools methodology and modelling.
- Manage cost and carbon modelling activities to help optimizing prices and carbon footprint. Identify new opportunities.
- Drive audits at our suppliers plants to establish their cost structure
Some examples of transformation projects held by the Group Excellence Purchasing Direction:
- Commodity strategies
- Suppliers risk management
- Contractualization framework & delegation of Authority
- Cost modelling program dashboard
Management :
- transversal: interaction with all purchasing community and business partners
- coordination with the 4 purchasing excellence project leaders in excellence and Cost Leadership teams
Qualifications :
Education / Work Experience
- Masters degree
- Min. 5 years of experience in a global Purchasing environment ideally in the industry sector
Technical / professional skills
- Proven mastery of purchasing core processes
- Appetite for digitalization & data as value drivers.
- Experience in Purchasing Information System implementation would be a plus (SAP)
- Recognized experience in project management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to analyze and modelize industrial manufacturing processes
Soft skills
- You are a change leader you are able to drive transformation and lead the teams
- You can animate coordinate and develop a community in a multicultural environment (project excellence leaders purchasing managers operational teams Business Partners)
