Job Description

The Director of Training and Qualification is a highly visible and impactful role responsible for developing the vision strategy and plans to address current training needs while preparing the training function for future business demands. In this dynamic position the individual will oversee and enhance existing training initiatives and learning management systems.

Furthermore the Director will establish an internal corporate training university to standardize and elevate training efforts throughout the organization. This initiative will ensure that all employees receive consistent highquality instruction that aligns with the companys goals.

This role involves assessing training needs identifying gaps developing training content and delivering effective training sessions and programs. The aim is to improve the skills productivity engagement and quality of work of both managers and team members. Additionally the Director will proactively ensure that the organizations training initiatives align with business goals compliance requirements and employee development needs.

This role will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our projects and initiatives through effective leadership strategic planning and innovative approaches to training and onboarding. Your responsibilities will encompass leading and managing project managers and instructional designers as well as sourcing and implementing new technologies to enhance our training and onboarding methodologies.

  • Develop lead and manage companywide training initiatives and programs to support a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • 35 Travel
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership for members of the training team.
  • Organize learning and development function into a collaborative corporate university environment where team members develop skills from core employee training to leadership development to formally align company training with strategic objectives.
  • Identify training needs through collaboration with leadership and management to ensure all gaps are addressed.
  • Research develop and deliver training programs and course content necessary to increase productivity engagement retention and safety.
  • Track and report training metrics and identify baselines and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate results of training and assess the effectiveness of training as related to objectives.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of the training team initiatives with business goals.
  • Ensure training schedule and completion of required employee training in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Evaluate individual and organizational performance to ensure training is effective.
  • Assess training program effectiveness.
  • Create and manage training budgets.
  • Proactively gain new knowledge and stay updated on training trends and best practices to stay positioned for future training needs.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training and development strategy offering technical field and management training aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Design and deliver targeted highquality training materials including elearning modules workshops webinars and other educational resources ensuring the right blend of inhouse and vendorsupported content to meet business needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and programs and make datadriven recommendations for improvement based on surveys feedback assessments metrics and stakeholder interviews.
  • Develop metrics and evaluation systems to measure the effectiveness outcomes and impact of training programs and systems as well as identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices ensuring that training programs and initiatives align with the latest methodologies and technologies.
  • Recommend and implement technical solution(s) (LMS or other applications) to meet all learning and development needs including onboarding health & safety mandatory training and skills & certifications tracking.
  • Work with human resources operational and corporate leadership to create and implement career development pathways.
  • Work with marketing/communications to create learning and development materials to ensure a cohesive visual identity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external training vendors and industry associations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in organizational development Human Resources or related field.
  • Preferred advanced degree in Adult Learning Organizational Development Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field.
  • 35 Travel
  • 6 years of experience as a Training Manager developing and delivering training programs with knowledge of various training methods.
  • Professional certification in training learning or talent development is highly preferred.
  • Experience in using use learning and development to meet business objectives.
  • Ability to think strategically to develop opportunities to meet objectives.
  • Able to utilize problemsolving skills to assess the accuracy and relevance of information.
  • Ability to proactively network and build relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs in filed fieldbased service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles instructional design and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively deliver training to individuals at all levels.
  • Proven ability to assess training needs and develop strategies to address them.
  • Experience in managing elearning platforms and learning management systems including implementing such systems enterprisewide.

Compensation: $160180K AIP  bonus 

The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidates geographic region jobrelated knowledge skills and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or longterm incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to the full range of medical financial and/or other benefits dependent on the level and position offered.
