Pay Range:
- Full License (LMSW): $27.78 $37.58/hr $54171 $73281 annually)
- Limited License (LLMSW): $25.65 $35.21/hr $50017.50 $68659.50 annually)
Position Overview:
The Adult Behavioral Health Therapist plays a vital role in providing mental health and cooccurring substance use treatment to adult clients. This position supports a highvolume outpatient program with an active caseload averaging around 50 clients. Therapists will perform clinical evaluations develop individualized treatment plans conduct therapy sessions and maintain all documentation to meet medical necessity and funding requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct clinical services including intake assessments individual therapy and group therapy
- Provide outpatient mental health and/or cooccurring substance abuse treatment using PersonCentered Planning principles
- Collaborate with psychiatrists physicians school staff case managers and families to coordinate care
- Maintain timely and accurate case documentation including treatment plans authorizations and case notes
- Participate in clinical supervision team meetings and case consultations
- Follow all licensing contractual and ethical guidelines and standards
- Complete 24 hours of annual training related to adult behavioral health and/or cooccurring disorders
- Assist in discharge planning and client transitions
- Uphold the mission and values of the organization
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work Psychology or Counseling
- Active State of Michigan licensure (LMSW LLMSW LPC LLPC or equivalent)
- Experience with mental health and/or cooccurring substance use treatment preferred
- Strong organizational documentation and communication skills
- Comfortable managing a caseload of 50 active clients
Work Environment:
- Largest program at the organization with over 100 staff including therapists case managers and leadership
- Supportive interdisciplinary team with paid supervision and training
- Evening hours required (flexible based on program needs)
