Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rutland to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Finance Assistant on a 5month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 11.44 14.15 per Hour

Summary:

This role provides effective business and operational support to Education Services in fulfilling statutory duties related to Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Inclusion. The postholder will carry out administrative and financial duties in line with Rutland County Council policies and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide operational support for statutory SEN assessments in line with Local Authority duties and the Inclusion Strategy.
  • Oversee SEN budget processes maintaining accurate financial records and reporting income and expenditure.
  • Manage and maintain the service Pupil Database.
  • Provide an efficient response service to parents schools public inquiries and stakeholders.
  • Administer special educational needs procedures serving as the primary contact for EHCP process queries.
  • Produce highquality data reports ensuring deadlines for FOI requests and external agencies are met.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in administrative and financial support roles preferably in education or public services.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN policies including EHCP processes.
  • Experience managing databases financial records and generating reports.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with parents schools and stakeholders.

Essential:

  • Financial and budget management skills.
  • High attention to detail in data management and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and initiative.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS
